Happy Birthday, Jessica!

Posted February 2nd, 2008 by Rachel

Groundhogs Day is also the official birthday of Jeremy’s sister, Jessica.  I know she got born on that day just to make it easier for me to remember when her birthday is.  And it works.

And Jessica likes sunflowers too, and everybody knows that the groundhog is looking for his shadow (meaning the sun’s out) so he can say there’s only 6 more weeks of winter (meaning it’s almost spring).  And sunflowers are a very sunny flower, so I think February 2 is a perfect day to get born on if you like sunny things and sunflowers, especially if you live in a place that hides the sun for months at a time (like Alaska, for example).  And since Jessica is marrying a man from Alaska this May, it’s very appropriate, don’t you think?

I hope all that rambling made sense.  If it didn’t, just pretend that it did.

Happy Birthday, Jessica!  Don’t let student teaching stress you out.  And don’t let wedding planning stress you out, either.  You put a lot of work into planning a wedding and then it’s over so quickly (and you, the bride, will miss most of it–nobody told me that).  So I guess we’ll see you in May, In-shah-allah.

Love,

Rachel and Jeremy
